How we work.

We use hard light.
Hard light (as opposed to strobe) is always on so it's more like lighting a motion picture set. You can see exactly how the final image will appear - and adjust lighting to make everything perfect. Learn more about the way we do lighting.

We shoot medium and large format film.
With medium and large format film (120mm or 4x5) and no pixels in the original, you can enlarge and reproduce our film images at any size with virtually no loss of resolution or quality. Learn more about the unique advantages of 4x5 for architectural photography.

You can manipulate scanned large format originals any way you wish digitally, but it's the full spectrum quality original you're able to work with that makes the difference.

You get everything you need for every future application:

  • original medium format (120mm) or large format (4x5) film
  • pre-press and color-corrected digital pre-press proofs
  • color-corrected .tif CMYK files on CD (for flawless print reproduction)
  • RGB jpg images on CD (for inkjet and web applications)

Reasons to choose film instead of digital for originals:

  • no limitation on enlargements
  • no pixelization when enlarged
  • archival
  • no limitation on potential applications
  • superior color range and accuracy
